The Happy Aftermath of a TEDMED Victory
Last week was a frenzy! The ShapeUp team travelled to TEDMED to participate in the conference’s 50 Great Challenges initiative, meant to identify the most pressing health issues of the year. We advocated for Challenge #22: Inventing Wellness Programs That Work. And guess what! After a public vote on which challenges were highest priority, ShapeUp’s Challenge #22 snagged the #1 spot, amassing 10% of the votes.
This is a big deal! When I found out, I was so excited I did a little dance in my chair! And I wasn’t just happy for my company. The TEDMED recognition means that we all, collectively, can focus on creating healthy workplaces committed to wellness and prevention. And in that scenario, everyone wins.
